Middletown native and Major League Baseball slugger Kyle Schwarber is set to return to his roots for a special, free public event, Beyond the Field with Kyle Schwarber, celebrating his baseball accomplishments and community commitment.
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Middletown High School’s Wade E. Miller Arena (601 N Breiel Blvd). Doors will open to the public at 5:30 PM, with the program scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
The centerpiece of the evening will be the live recording of a special episode of The Middletown NOW podcast, providing attendees with a candid look into Schwarber’s life both on and off the field. During the discussion, Schwarber will share details about his ongoing efforts to give back to the community and explain the vision behind establishing Middie Way Baseball at Goldman Park and his foundation, Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes. The recorded podcast episode will be released publicly at a later date.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kyle back home to Middletown," Middletown Communications Manager Clayton Castle said. "Kyle represents the very best of what it means to be from Middletown: hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to giving back. His success on the field is matched only by the positive impacts he continues to make off of it.”
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
