Long Term Control Plan
Updates to this page are ongoing.
The City of Middletown will hold an informational meeting on July 19th, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. to review details of the future Sunset Park Green Infrastructure project. The meeting will be held at Sunset Park (weather permitting*). *In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be held at the Middletown City Building in City Council Chambers. The City Building address is One Donham Plaza, Middletown, Ohio 45042.
The project will include installation of an approximately one acre green infrastructure basin to capture storm water runoff to reduce the storm water loading to the downstream sewer system. Aesthetic landscaping and hardscaping features will be incorporated into the green infrastructure basin to not detract from the overall park character. The existing playground equipment will be relocated and replaced with new, up-to-date equipment. More information about the project is posted on the City Manager’s blog at https://citymanagermiddletown.com/…/08/long-term-control-p…/.
This is the first project of the City’s Long Term Control Plan to reduce Combined Sewer Overflows into the Great Miami River as mandated by the EPA. For more information about the Long Term Control Plan visit the City’s webpage at https://www.cityofmiddletown.org/484/Long-Term-Control-Plan.
