SHALOM History

SHALOM began its mission of sheltering the homeless in 2002 under the leadership of our original Directors, Roy and Pat Ickes. Without their profound faith, leadership, and the continued blessings of Jesus Christ, SHALOM would not be here serving today. SHALOM is forever grateful for Roy and Pat, and for all they did for so many who others may consider unworthy.

Join Our Mission

SHALOM is looking to grow. They would be blessed to add additional churches and weeks to this winter’s hosting schedule.

If you or your organization feel called to serve the unhoused, or if you know of a congregation interested in hosting, please share this mission with them. SHALOM would love to expand the schedule to provide even more weeks of safety for those in need.
