MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – The City of Middletown Events announced its 2025 Events Calendar, featuring several events returning and expanding in the new year.
“2024 was the most successful year yet for Middletown City Events, with new and expanded events drawing people from all over in our great city,” Jeri Lewis, Middletown community projects coordinator, said. “2025 will build upon that success and bring about a new level of excitement, fun, and entertainment for families.”
The first city-sponsored event happens in February with Dessert Week returning for its second year. During the Week of Feb. 10 through Feb. 16, restaurants will be featuring a new dessert item for patrons to try, boosting business across Middletown during a typical slow period in the winter months. Other food weeks returning include Burger Week from July 7 through July 13 and Bowl Week from Nov. 17 through Nov. 23.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Bar Crawl is also coming back on March 15, kicking off a year full of parades through Downtown Middletown. Other parades include Memorial Day (with the annual ceremony at Woodside Cemetery following), 4th of July, and the Santa Parade in November (kicking off Very Merry Middletown).
Movies in the Parks will feature several blockbuster hits throughout the summer in Middletown’s beautiful parks. Cinderella kicks off the monthly series on May 9th in Sunset Park, followed by Inside Out 2 on June 13th in Sherman Park, Despicable Me 4 in Jacot Park on July 11th, and Moana 2 on August 8th in Douglass Park. The final Movies in the Park will correspond with a new two-day celebration in Downtown Middletown with Octoberfest on October 24th. On that night, The Nightmare Before Christmas will be shown in Downtown as part of the Octoberfest festivities.
The following day, on Oct. 25th, the Annual Family Fun Fall Festival returns for its fourth year, but in a new location! Fall Fest will be held in Downtown Middletown as part of the weekend’s fall festivities. Vendors, food competitions, food trucks, and of course, fun, all return for one of the premier events for the City.
Food Truck Fridays also return with different themes and/or entertainment each month. In 2025, the City of Middletown will welcome members of the Cincinnati Symphony and mascots from the Cincinnati Reds! Other themes include Game Night, Taste Around the Globe, and a BBQ Throwdown.
The Middletown Farmers Market is also back with expanded days! In addition to the Farmers Markets twice a month, an additional Farmers Market has been added each month for the First Friday celebration by Downtown Middletown, Inc. Farmers Markets will be at Governor's Square in Downtown Middletown in 2025.
