The City of Middletown is honoring its veterans by the hanging of Hometown Heroes banners throughout Downtown Middletown, featuring Middletown residents who served in the United States Military.
"The City of Middletown is proud to honor the brave men and women who have served our country through the Hometown Heroes banner program," City Manager Ashley Combs said. "This initiative is a heartfelt tribute to our veterans and active duty military personnel — a visible reminder of their sacrifice, courage, and commitment. These banners not only celebrate our heroes but also strengthen the sense of pride and unity in our community. We are grateful for their service and honored to recognize them in this meaningful way."
Dozens of veterans are honored along Central Ave. and adjacent streets, beginning at Charles St. going into Downtown. These banners will be hung from just before Memorial Day through Veterans Day in November.
