Middletown Historical Society Membership Meeting and Program

The Middletown Historical Society June Membership Meeting will be held on June 21, 2023 beginning at 7:00 pm, at the MHS Shartle House at 120 N. Verity Parkway in Middletown Ohio. The Program will be, "Butler County in the Civil War" with Darryl R. Smith. He is a graduate of Miami University and a Butler County native, speaks to various Civil War Round Tables and Historical Organizations, leads tours at Civil War sites in Kentucky, as well as Civil War tours at Spring Grove Cemetery, Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton. He is a call center manager for a local credit union and owns Walking with History LLC. Smith is a member of several other Civil War Organizations and is co-founder of the Western Theater of Civil War website where he has written over 75 articles. He serves as vice-chair of the Buffington Island Battlefield Preservation Foundation and resides in Cincinnati with his wife Jennifer. This meeting is open to the public and is free to attend
