Come be inspired by the versatility, athleticism, and expressiveness of Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s Jeraldyne Blunden Fellows and DCDC2 - the pre-professional dance ensemble in Director’s Cut II. This arts and cultural experience introduces students to contemporary dance through narration, a diverse performance, interactive audience participation, followed by a Q & A with dance artists to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy dance. This wide-ranging program features a sampler of the company’s contemporary dance works that explores themes of the prominent women in Black History, social concerns like bullying, and fun-filled lighthearted playful dances in a variety of dance and music styles.

In the spring, on a warm, wet evening, salamanders at Indian Creek begin to move. It happens sometime between the last week of January and the end of March. Sign up for this unique opportunity to watch migrating salamanders and learn more about this species. Pre-registration is required and the program may reach capacity quickly as space is limited. You will be contacted by email regarding the exact date and time when the migration begins. A waiting list is available.
