Larry has a long career in the financial services industry.  He has served in executive finance and leadership roles in a variety of areas of banking, accounting and finance. 

In the Middletown community, Larry serves as the city’s Mayor.  He was appointed to city council in 2006 to fill the unexpired term of the second ward representative. In 2007 he ran for office to be the city’s first directly elected Mayor in over 80 years. In November 2011 he was re-elected by a large margin, and ran unopposed in 2015. He is proud and honored to serve his hometown in this capacity as Mayor.

He is currently a Chairman of the Great Miami Valley YMCA board of trustees, and serves on the board of LifeSpan, The Chamber of Commerce, serving Middletown, Monroe and Trenton, and The Butler County United Way.  Larry co-chaired the BCUW campaign cabinet for the 2016 and 2017 campaigns. Other civic service included the Middletown chamber’s financial oversight committee in 2004 and 2005. He has served on a number of non-profit boards of trustees including: the Middletown YMCA, the Middletown Historical Society, the CORE Fund in Hamilton, and Butler County’s Community Action Agency, SELF.  Additionally, he has been a board member of: Middletown House of Hope for the Homeless, Preservation Restoration and Improvement of South Main (PRISM), Sorg Opera, and Wildwood Golf Club.

Larry & his wife Kristen are the parents of 3 children, Larry III, David and Meghan.  As a family, they were involved in a number of activities including youth sports, scouting and music, and school activities at John XXIII Catholic Elementary, Bishop Fenwick High School, Bowling Green State University and Miami University.  They are members of Holy Family Parish in Middletown.

 He received his undergraduate degree in Finance, with a minor in Mathematics from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.  Larry completed the Ohio School of Banking at Ohio University and is a 2003 graduate of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
