Jail

The City of Middletown runs a full-service jail facility. The Jail has a staff that includes a Deputy Chief and 11 correction officers. It houses an average daily population of approximately 50 inmates. The Jail has a number of contract employees as well, including a cook and medical staff which consists of a doctor and two nurses. 

Visiting Hours


  • Sunday Noon - 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
  • Thursday 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Call Ahead


You need to call the jail after 7am on the day you wish to visit at 513-425-7748 option 1. When calling follow the directions given for "jail visitation." You are required to have an appointment and a picture ID for visitation.

Note: Each inmate is allowed one 30 minute session per week.

Items Allowed for Inmates


Cash and property can be left during any visitation hours or Monday through Friday only from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Property accepted are:
  • Money, no more than $100 without prior approval
  • New bras
  • New panties in package
  • Medication (medication can be left at any time for medical staff to check out prior to being placed in the inmate's property)
