Planning Commission The City Planning Commission consists of seven individuals who volunteer their time to oversee the Land Use Planning; Zoning Code and the general planning function for the community. It reviews zoning change or amendment requests, use adjustment and plan development proposals and other duties that may be assigned by the City Council. The Director of Planning serves as the Secretary to the City Planning Commission. The Planning Commission meets the second Wednesday of each month.
Board of Zoning Appeals The Board of Zoning Appeals reviews any variance request from the zoning ordinance, appeals from any aggrieved parties related to enforcement and any other duties assigned by the City Council. The Zoning Administrator serves as the Secretary to the Board of Zoning Appeals. The Board meets the first Wednesday of each month, as needed.
Council of Landmark and Historic District The Council of Landmark and Historic District oversees any exterior modifications proposed within the Historic District. The Council also recommends any addition or expansion of the existing historic district. The Historic Preservation Administrator serves as the Secretary to the Council.
Architectural Review Board The Architectural Review Board reviews proposed single-family house plans to determine compliance within the Architectural standards. The Board meets on a demand basis and consists of representatives of City Council and Planning Commission.
