Health Promotion, Health Education and Disease Surveillance
The health promotion, health education and disease surveillance division of the Middletown City Health Department provides health information and education to all citizens of Middletown. Some of the services are:
- Bureau of Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH)
- Child & Family Health Services Grant (CFHS)
- Immunization Clinics for Children
- Ohio Infant Mortality Reduction Initiative Grant
- Seasonal Influenza Clinics
- Infectious Disease Reporting
- Community Health Fairs
This Division includes a Director of Nursing, a Bureau for Children with Medical Handicap (BCMH) Nurse, an Immunization Nurse, a Health Programs Administrator, Community Care Administrator, a Lead Community Care Coordinator and two Community Care Coordinators.
This Division has a strong focus on the public health motto-- “promote, protect and prevent.” The development, implementation and evaluation of these health activities enable the department to reduce health risks to the citizens in Middletown.
