The City uses CDBG funding to furnish services to promote fair housing in Middletown. Services provided include but are not restricted to education about the laws related to housing; outreach and education through presentations and written information about fair housing rights and responsibilities; assisting tenants and landlords, through mediation, to reconcile disputes dealing with landlord and tenant relationships; providing detailed training and assistance to individuals and community groups; and, providing referral services to city, state and federal agencies. All services are provided at no cost to citizens.
